The Museum
The mSE Kunsthalle is a museum for contemporary art, which was opened by Christian Zott in the fall of 2019 in Unterammergau. With its neighbors, the boutique hotel Lartor and the Restaurant Hieronymus, the mSE Kunsthalle forms an architectural unit, the "Lartor Resort". In addition to the exhibition space, the museum building houses the conference rooms of the mSE Campus.
Architecture
A modern construction as a rural ensemble
Three buildings with protruding roofs and wooden facades are located at the edge of the village of Unterammergau: the mSE Kunsthalle, the boutique hotel Lartor, and the restaurant Hieronymus. The ensemble combines the properties of modern functional buildings with the architectural tradition of the Ammer valley, and thereby blends into the landscape harmoniously. Arcitect of the buildings is Thomas Wild of the Swizz architectural office Wild Bär Heule.

Boutique hotel Lartor
The boutique hotel has twelve rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, oak-wood floors and furniture, and a considerate, warm design. Glass showers, in the center of the room bring a luxurious urban flair to the alps. Every room is dedicated to a fantastical place from cultural history.
